We started creating soaps and skin care products to meet a family need that wasn't met by commercial products. It allowed us the opportunity to put together custom ingredients with various beneficial properties that were made exclusively for the people we care about. We now share the very same products, made especially for our family, with others to bring them the same health and skin benefits that we found with hand made products.
Introduced to essential oils by a family friend, we had been making all natural body butters and creams for quite a while. The success with the creation of those products lead to the first soap.
My middle son was experiencing a pretty typical teen age problem, acne. His oral prescription medication left his stomach irritated, commercial acne products caused overly dry skin and neither one successfully controlled the acne. He asked me to make him a soap to help. The solution was a hemp based soap with tea tree oil, rosemary and lemongrass essential oils that was tough on acne and gentle on skin.
That soap did such a good job that it inspired us to make other varieties from natural ingredients like olive oil and goat's milk. My family enjoyed those soaps so much that we shared them with our extended family and friends. Soon everyone was asking for refills and suggesting that we make some to sell. We expanded our products to meet the needs of our clients, some vegan, some all natural and some made with the same all natural ingredients as our original products as well as with a few select fragrances.
Today, we are a family operated business located in a valley of a farming community filled with dairy goats and cows, orchards and honey bees. Nestled along the Delaware Creek in the heart of central Pennsylvania, we offer holistic skin care to everyone.
